Community Life Events
Getting connected to the church isn’t something that happens all at once. Maybe you’ve never been to church before, and it’s all a bit strange or a little intimidating. Perhaps you haven’t made up your mind what you think about God, or the church. For now you’re happy to be one of the crowd and just observe. Fortunately, there are lots of others in the same boat, and we have many opportunities available for you to dip your toe in the water. Watch for community life events and details in the weekly bulletins or announcements.
Let’s Do Lunch Sundays – Once a month, meet in the lobby after the celebration and find who is holding the sign for your favorite restaurant. Head out to lunch together with new and old friends.
Coffee Hour Sundays – Monthly on the third Sunday in the gallery. Join us after the celebration for cookies, coffee and tea, and conversation. This is a simple way for us as a congregation to connect with each other as a community.
Slice of Life – Bimonthly on the fourth Sunday, our community is made up of many people, each with their own story. Slice of life is our way to make space for stories to be shared with one another. During the celebration, various congregants will share slices of their story and life and following the celebration, we gather to share a pizza in the cafe with those who may have similar stories.
Newcomers Lunch – Bimonthly on the fourth Sunday, we host a lunch for those who are newer to the church to gather, connect, and meet others including the church staff, key stakeholders, and life group leaders. This lunch includes childcare.
