Community Life Events

Getting connected to the church isn’t something that happens all at once. Maybe you’ve never been to church before, and it’s all a bit strange or a little intimidating. Perhaps you haven’t made up your mind what you think about God, or the church. For now you’re happy to be one of the crowd and just observe. Fortunately, there are lots of others in the same boat, and we have many opportunities available for you to dip your toe in the water.  Watch for community life events and details in the weekly bulletins or announcements, or see what is coming up on our events page.

Below is a list of some Community Life Events events we have hosted. Let us know if there is an event you would like to hold or if you are wondering if a specific event is happening again.

Frequent and Historical Events

Let’s Do Lunch Sundays – Once a month, meet in the lobby or outside after the celebration and find the group gathering around a giant meal.

Coffee Hour Sundays – Join us after the celebration for cookies, coffee and tea, and conversation. This is a simple way for us as a congregation to connect with each other as a community.

Slice of Life – Our community is made up of many people, each with their own story.  Slice of life is our way to make space for stories to be shared with one another. During the celebration, various congregants will share slices of their story and life and following the celebration, we gather to share a pizza in the cafe with those who may have similar stories.

Newcomers Lunch – Bimonthly on the fourth Sunday, we host a lunch for those who are newer to the church to gather, connect, and meet others including the church staff, key stakeholders, and life group leaders. This lunch includes childcare.

Cereal Party and Game Night – Held at the church. Milk is provided, and everyone brings their favorite cereal and game.

Dinners for 7 – We want to know each other and be known to each other as a community. Dinners for 7 are small gatherings of congregants who share a conversation over dinner together.
