Making Marriage Work Workshop

When: Saturday, March 2nd, 8:30am – 5:30pm
Where: Vineyard Church of Ann Arbor, Cafe

MAKING MARRIAGE WORK: A workshop for couples based on John Gottman’s four decades of research on relationships, will be held in the cafe at the Vineyard Church of Ann Arbor, on Saturday, March 2nd from 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. This program will provide couples with practical tools to: improve friendship, fondness, and admiration, enhance romance and intimacy, manage conflict constructively, gain skills to address perpetual and solvable problems, and create shared meaning. Dave Chatel, MA, LLP, will be con- ducting the workshop. Pre-engaged/engaged couples, newlyweds, couples married for decades, those wishing to enhance a good marriage, and those needing better conflict management tools will all benefit. The $200 registration fee includes: 8 hours of interactive education, content and experiential work for one couple, Gottman’s book, “Making Marriage Work,” two workbooks, and morning and afternoon refreshments. Ash Wednesday Taize Service @ First Presbyterian Church

When: Wednesday, March 6th, 7:30pm
Where: First Presbyterian Church, 1432 Washtenaw Ave, Ann Arbor, MI 48104 

The Ash Wednesday service is hosted by First Presbyterian Church on March 6th at 7:30pm; the Vineyard co-sponsors this ecumenical contemplative service in the style and format of the community of Taize, France. The service strives to be a representation of the ‘parable of reconciliation and community’ for the world by bringing people from various Christian traditions together through work, worship and pray. Childcare provided. After the service, folks from the Vineyard will head over to the Pizza House to enjoy some pizza and shakes.


When: Sunday, March 10th, 9:30am
Where: Vineyard Church of Ann Arbor

Starting March 10th during the 9:30 celebration. This is a special class for 4th-8th graders who are ready to take the next step in their faith. We’ll be digging deep into who Jesus is, how church works, and what it means to have a relationship with God for yourself (but not alone!). This is great for students considering baptism or who have recently made a decision to follow Jesus. Contact Pastor Sam or Pastor Marissa for details! 

Pizza & Puzzles

When: Friday, March 15th @ 6pm
Where: The Vineyard Church of Ann Arbor, Cafe

Beat the winter blues by sharing pizza and working on some jigsaw puzzles together! We’ll have a wide range of puzzle difficulty represented, so all kinds of puzzlers are welcome! Pizza is provided; you’re invited to bring a drink, snack, or dessert to share as you’re able. Contact Charity Hoffman for details.

Cultivate Vineyard

When: Sunday, March 17 from 5:30 – 8p.m.
Where: The Vineyard Church of Ann Arbor, Cafe

Join us for Cultivate! This is the place where we will come together as a community to learn, grow, and work on the vision that Jesus has given us for our community. Come to enjoy food together, fellowship, and to participate directly in the work God is doing in our community. There are also opportunities for Spiritual Direction, Prayer Ministry, and Coaching at Cultivate as well as opportunities to participate the church’s social engagement activities like eliminating medical debt, reforming the cash bail system, opening a free PreK for qualifying families. Coffee Hour & Groundcover News

When: Sunday, March 17, after the 11:15 celebration
Where: Vineyard Church of Ann Arbor, The Gallery

Newcomers Lunch

When: Sunday, March 24, after the 11:15 celebration
Where: Vineyard Church of Ann Arbor, Cafe

The Newcomers Lunch is right after the 11:15 celebration in the cafe. It is about an hour in length and includes childcare, if needed. If you are interested in hearing more about our church community, meeting other newcomers and the staff, learning about how to get more plugged in, and eating delicious food, we would love to have you! As you consider the Vineyard as your new church home, we want to create space to help you connect with other guests & newcomers, and connect with our church community. We would love to hear your stories and learn how these stories are shaping your expression of faith and connection to Jesus and his church.
