Making Marriage Work Workshop
When: Saturday, March 2nd, 8:30am – 5:30pm
Where: Vineyard Church of Ann Arbor, Cafe
MAKING MARRIAGE WORK: A workshop for couples based on John Gottman’s four decades of research on relationships, will be held in the cafe at the Vineyard Church of Ann Arbor, on Saturday, March 2nd from 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. This program will provide couples with practical tools to: improve friendship, fondness, and admiration, enhance romance and intimacy, manage conflict constructively, gain skills to address perpetual and solvable problems, and create shared meaning. Dave Chatel, MA, LLP, will be con- ducting the workshop. Pre-engaged/engaged couples, newlyweds, couples married for decades, those wishing to enhance a good marriage, and those needing better conflict management tools will all benefit. The $200 registration fee includes: 8 hours of interactive education, content and experiential work for one couple, Gottman’s book, “Making Marriage Work,” two workbooks, and morning and afternoon refreshments. Ash Wednesday Taize Service @ First Presbyterian Church

The Ash Wednesday service is hosted by First Presbyterian Church on March 6th at 7:30pm; the Vineyard co-sponsors this ecumenical contemplative service in the style and format of the community of Taize, France. The service strives to be a representation of the ‘parable of reconciliation and community’ for the world by bringing people from various Christian traditions together through work, worship and pray. Childcare provided. After the service, folks from the Vineyard will head over to the Pizza House to enjoy some pizza and shakes.

Starting March 10th during the 9:30 celebration. This is a special class for 4th-8th graders who are ready to take the next step in their faith. We’ll be digging deep into who Jesus is, how church works, and what it means to have a relationship with God for yourself (but not alone!). This is great for students considering baptism or who have recently made a decision to follow Jesus. Contact Pastor Sam or Pastor Marissa for details!
