Advent at Vineyard

Advent, which means “coming,” is the season leading up to Christmas during which we focus on the coming of the Kingdom of God through Christ. In the lead up to Christmas, we’ll be pummeled with advertising to buy stuff. Make room in your heart for God this Advent--that’s what the season is all about. Join us on Sundays as we practice Inviting Silence: Space for Hope, Peace, Joy, & Love, in the midst of Advent.

When: Sundays in December during both services
Where: Vineyard Church of Ann Arbor

Rotating Shelter

The Shelter Association of Washtenaw County offers a supplemental program, The Rotating Shelter, beginning early November running through March each year. This program offers an additional 25 men a place to sleep each night during the coldest months of the year. The program is made possible by local churches each hosting the shelter for a week. Not only does this five the additional men a warm place to sleep at night, but also a chance for the faith community to reach out, connect and share God's love with those less fortunate.

We are hosting the shelter again this year! We need volunteers to stay at the church while our homeless friends sleep, shifts are 7:30pm - 1:30am, 1am - 7am, or both! We also need people to provide food, snacks, beverages, help cook and serve breakfast on Saturday morning, drive the vans, or just provide financial support so we can purchase food and a few comfort items for our homeless friends. Sign up in the lobby. Questions? Contact Lisa Aunins via email at
