Prayer, Offering, and Communion
If you would like prayer, you can fill out our online prayer card, and the pastoral staff will pray for you. You can also contact our prayer team at firstname.lastname@example.org, and you can share a prayer for our “Prayers of the People” time by texting the number provided during our worship service.
It’s now time for our offering. If you haven’t already noticed the pretty boxes at the table take a look now. Those are our offering boxes for your financial contributions and prayer cards. Your financial partnership is vital to help continue not only the ministry of the church, but it also helps provide food and take care of needs for those facing housing insecurities. Giving to the Vineyard helps us to partner with places like Hope Clinic which provides free medical and dental care to people in our community. You can partner with us through giving online at annarborvineyard.org, via venmo “a2vineyard”, or by texting the word “give” to the number 734-887-1569.
The Doxology, sung together:
Praise God from whom all blessings flow,
Praise him, all creatures here below,
Praise him above, ye heavenly host,
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,
We will now prepare for communion. If you are watching from home, now is a good time to get something to eat and drink. For those of us present today, you are welcome to bring your own communion elements from home or use the communion we have provided. You will find a mini chalice with the juice and the gluten free bread on the bottom of the chalice. In just a moment, we will take it all together. First, let’s pause and open our hearts to the giver of all good gifts.
The Lord’s Prayer, spoken together:
Our Father in heaven, holy is your name.
Your Kingdom come. Your will be done. On earth as it is heaven.
Give us this day, our daily bread.
And forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us.
And lead us not from temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For yours are the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever and ever.
