Sermon #5: Investment Strategies from Jesus
March 22, 2015
We are using the Lenten season as a time of deep self-reflection and internal inspection. It’s a time to look at what has been getting in the way of our relationship with God and to actively seek renewal and intimacy with God and each other.

Sermon #4: Fruit from the True Vine
    March 15, 2015
This Lent, as we prepare our hearts for the Easter season, we’ve been moving through a sermon series entitled Simplify: Making Space for God, and in that series we’ve been spending some time examining some of the different spiritual practices that the Church has to offer. It has been a time of opening our hearts to encounter God and experience transformation and growth. This week, we’re going to take a look at our schedules—a topic that I think feels timely and important to most people, regardless of the content of your days.

Sermon #3: Giving Up a Good Thing
    March 08, 2015
We are in week three of our Lenten sermon series: Simplify: Making Room for God. In this sermon series, we are continuing our discussion of deepening our connection with God and our connection with each other by identifying what might be preventing space or room for God in our daily lives.

Sermon #2: Encountering God in our Pain
    March 01, 2015
During this season of the Lent, the forty days leading up to Easter, we embrace the posture of Jesus’ forty days in the desert. It is a time when some of the distractions and follies of our lives are stripped away, and we invite God to show us the true condition of our hearts. We are in our second week of a Lenten sermon series entitled Simplify: Making Space for God. What does it mean, we are asking, for the Lenten practices that we adopt to truly simply our lives, to create space to meet God and be transformed in his presence?

Sermon #1: Resist the Empire, Seek the Kingdom
    February 22, 2015
I want to continue to invite us to deepen our connection with God and our connection with each other as we launch our Lenten series: Simplify: Making Room for God. Today marks the first Sunday in Lent–the time in the liturgical calendar where Christians all over the world prepare themselves for the celebration of Easter. Our Lenten journey together will take 40 days. Technically, Lent is 46 days before Easter, since most faith traditions skip the Sundays, that’s how we get to 40 days.

A New You for a New Year

A New You for the New Year

Sermon #7: Faithful in the Mundane
    February 15, 2015
Today we wrap up our A New You for the New Year sermon series. We’ve spent several weeks together discovering what it takes to be(come) transformed. Last week, we were reminded that scarcity is a lie and we can’t out give God.

Throughout this sermon series, I’ve been saying over and over again, you aren’t who you think you are. And if you belong to Jesus, you belong to a Kingdom that never ends and has everything you need.
