College & Twenty-Somethings
If you are in college, thinking about college, recently graduated for college or have a loved one who falls into this category; this section of our website is made especially for you! Here you can find any and all ways of getting connected within the 20-something community of Ann Arbor Vineyard. We exist to be a body of people which does not exist for itself, but for Christ and the world; creating room to question, breathe, grow, become, & go.
What to Expect
We don't know what your expectations are when you walk into a church. We have people coming to Ann Arbor Vineyard from all over the religious map, as well as people who have never stepped foot in a church in their lives. So, wherever you are coming from and whatever your past experiences with church have been, we want to redefine what church could be like for you.
Here's what you can expect from us:
Our faith is honest
We don’t pretend to be perfect, but recognize that Jesus is the only one who is. So we are honest with ourselves and honest in our search for God through the difficulty and the joy of life.
Our people are real
We know life isn’t easy all of the time; we experience it ourselves on a regular basis. We don’t gather to put on a mask and be something we are not—we exist to be real, to be ourselves, and be the unique selves as we have been made. And so we are diverse, both in body and in thought.
Our God is alive
We don’t gather to learn about who God used to be, we gather to encounter the living and active God of today. We invite God’s Holy Spirit to move in our lives and regularly pray for each other in our services.
Need a Ride?
If you would like to join us on Sunday mornings, we have a shuttle which travels between campus and the church. We will be leaving campus around 10:30AM and you can expect to return near 12:30PM. Just make sure to let us know you’ll be joining us so we know to look out for you!
If you have any questions concerning getting a ride feel free to contact Julius Buzzard by email, or by calling (734) 477-9135 x127.
Acceptance, comfort, purpose, courage, joy, sharing grief, receiving encouragement, refinement, strength, support, depth, and a good perspective…these are the things that we get when we engage in authentic community with others. It is certainly possible to know truths about God and others without active engagement, but wouldn’t approaching life together be a better experience?
Feel free to contact Julius Buzzard if you are interested in any college-minded small group activity with the vineyard.
Let’s Do Brunch/Lunch!
Let’s Do Brunch/Lunch is a great first step in getting connected if you like Ann Arbor Vineyard and would like to find out more about us. It can also make a wonderful second, third, or fortieth step—no matter how long you have been with us, we’d love to grab a meal with you.
Every first Sunday of the month, immediately after the 11AM service, we go out and do just as the title suggests...have lunch! During this time you could find out more about the church and opportunities to connect, or simply meet some new people and get a great lunch at the same time.
Here are some upcoming Let’s Do Brunches/Lunches:
