Youth Ministries

Welcome to the Ann Arbor Vineyard Youth Ministry page!

Within the A2 Vineyard Youth Ministries, we get excited about seeing young people connect with Jesus.  Actually, you might say it is why our ministry exists.  In our efforts to exemplify Vineyard values in the youth ministry, we strive to connect students as active participants in the community and the Kingdom rather than to perceive them merely as “Christians in training”.  We recognize that youth need a place to belong, to ask questions, and to grow in the direction that Christ calls them.

Nigel Berry and Sam Tidball work closely with the volunteers, interns, and staff to create an environment that is welcoming, accepting, fun, and Christ-centered.  In our efforts to provide our best, all adults who serve in the youth ministry are screened and trained as a part of our extensive abuse prevention program.  We are excited to offer a variety of programs that help students to begin and/or deepen their relationships with God.  We believe it is a privilege to serve the youth and families of the Ann Arbor area.  Parents are always welcome to stop in and see what we’re up to!

Here's what's available:

Middle School:
Our Jr. High Youth Group (6th - 8th grades) meet each Sunday during the 10:30am celebration; beginning after opening worship through the end of the service. It’s a chance to relax and get to know God in a setting that nurtures fun, challenge, and spiritual growth.  Please join us -- there’s no pressure... you’ll meet good friends, discover how awesome loving Jesus is, and even enjoy some sweet snacks.

High School:

High School students (9th - 12th Grade) meet on Sunday nights in the youth room at the church. Students spend time catching up on each other's weeks, and engaging in conversations about what it means to follow Jesus. The high school youth group meets from 7:00-8:30pm.

Mission Trips, Retreats, & Special Events

Regular ministry events are available for middle and high school students throughout the year.  Sign up your child(ren) by filling out a permission slip and handing any monies to the youth director (Checks are cashed approx. 7-14 days) and financial assistance is available for participants.  As youth mature we also make room for them to serve alongside adults in several ministry areas including the multi-media and worship teams!

Please check us out on Facebook to get your up-to-date reports on youth ministry events or subscribe to our quarterly Youth Ministry Newsletter by emailing Sam Tidball at
