Getting connected to the church isn’t something that happens all at once. Maybe you’ve never been to church before, and it’s all a bit strange or intimidating. Perhaps you haven’t made up your mind what you think about God, or the church. For now you’re happy to be one of the crowd and just observe. Or perhaps you’re visiting several churches, trying to figure out where you belong.
Fortunately there are lots of others in the same boat, and we have many opportunities available for you to meet those needs. There’s no rush, and you’re free to take things at your own pace. Also, our Executive Pastor is always available to help you figure out what would work best for you.
For starters, we offer a newcomers lunch several times a year. It’s a relaxing, informal way to meet other newcomers, as well as leaders, over a nice dinner. Next, I encourage you to explore the various classes we have available at the Vineyard, particularly our BELONG: Persuing the Pilgrims Path class. This class is for those exploring Christianity and faith, and for those who wish to deepen their faith and/or are exploring membership at Vineyard.
As you’ll find, it’s quite difficult to meet others and develop friendships at the weekend celebrations alone. That’s why we encourage you to explore our various small groups, which offer you a chance to meet others, develop friendships, and pray and study the Bible together.
Finally, as you get connected, you’ll want to explore the various ministries we have available through the church. Ministry is simply giving away however much or little we have of God, so it’s never too soon to start.
If you're new pastor Emily Swan would love to meet you.
If you live in the greater Ann Arbor area, and don't already attend Vineyard, we'd love to send you an informational brochure and a free worship CD. Click here for more info.
