The Marriage Course

Why do The Marriage Course?

Regular check-ups help a car run smoothly and reduce the risk of breakdown. Sports professionals spend hours being coached and perfecting their techniques. The greatest achievements in life take practice, training and dedication. It's the same with marriage & A strong, loving and lifelong relationship doesn't happen by chance. It takes effort and dedication to keep the fun and romance alive. We can all learn how to make even the happiest relationship better.

What is It?

The Marriage Course is made up of seven sessions. Each session starts with a meal, as this gives guests a chance to relax and talk to their partner in a romantic setting. There are no group discussions at any stage of the course. During each session there are breaks in the talks to give the couples an opportunity to discuss some of the issues that have been raised. The couples are spread far enough apart, and background music is played, to ensure their discussions are not overheard.

Who is it for?

The Marriage Course is for any married or cohabitating couple, whether they've been together for one year or sixty-one years, whether they have a good relationship or are struggling. The practical tools of the course are applicable to everyone. For couples in the military and those facing extended times apart, there is an additional session to help prepare for the pressures these times bring. While the course is based on Christian principles, it is designed for couples with or without a Christian faith.
